Each monsoon storm in Arizona creates an emotional turbulence in us: anticipation, frustration and impatience followed by joy, relief and fulfillment. We crave both the chaos it comes with and the tranquility it leaves behind. The continuity of life in the desert depends on these seasonal storms - our lives depend on them.

Untamed Skies features creosote bush, the signature plant of the monsoon season in Arizona. Creosote leaves are covered with a protective resinous coating that releases a strong scent when it comes in contact with moisture: once you smell it after a long-awaited rainfall you will always remember it.

Aromatic, humid, mineral and earthy, along with the caress of the wind. The star of the show is creosote, the uniquely North American resinous bush that gives the Sonoran Desert its distinct and evocative smoky scent after rainfall. Created by Master Perfumer Christophe Laudamiel for Ārya Tārā.
