CANYON IN BLOOM

Canyon in Bloom features cliffrose, a Southwestern native shrub belonging to the rose family that grows on rocky slopes and canyon walls. Little creamy white flowers cover the entire plant at once then the winds carry their sun-warmed sweet scent over the terrain. Cliffrose leaves also release a distinct smell when touched, holding similarity to the sharpness of wormwood. These plants are meant to be in the wild, they do not grow in a monoculture - they want to choose where they grow. 

Instead of taking the flower out of context we included the leaves in the composition as well as a mineral touch in the drydown representative of the rocky landscape cliffroses grow on.

A dewy, sunlit floral evoking the sensuality of springtime in the desert, blending the rich leaf and delicate flower of cliffrose with a brushstroke of wormwood, Bulgarian rose, and dewy, watery notes of prickly pear and watermelon. Created by Master Perfumer Christophe Laudamiel for Ārya Tārā.
